a boxed set of the three television series, starting in 1985. Written by the incomparable Alan Bleasdale, and still as dry and droll as it ever was.  James Bolam and Barbara Flynn play their parts to perfection, and the odd assortment of British eccentrics that people the series are just wonderful.  Highly recommended.

Lovefilm review: Trevor and Jill are school teachers who enter a complex world of mysterious intrigue. The series was inspired by musician Bix Beiderbecke (1903-31), the first white rival to the black pioneers of jazz, who was also the first 'modern' musician to self-destruct through alcoholism.
