this would inevitably be described as a "Regency Romp", but Georgette Heyer's books are more than that. Written in 1926, this one is elegant and witty, and hugely enjoyable.
this is the first time I'd read anything of hers since I was about 14, in 19mumble - I shall seek out some more.
