gone …

the Apehaving talking about it for ages, we finally put the Ape* on Autotrader on Monday night.

at 6.30, someone phoned, asked a few questions, and said they’d come and see it. From 90 miles away … We hadn’t had a chance to tippex out the scratches from when someone keyed it, but we did get it valeted on Sunday, so we hoped for the best.

he had a good look and Pete took him out for a drive in it, up the windy road to Failand (the Ape always romped up that road), lad made me a derisory offer, and we bargained up to my price. He paid cash, and took him away. He was only a young lad, so ghod knows what the insurance will cost him.

six years I’ve had that car, and he’s been enormous, huge fun, and has never let me down. I’ll miss him (but my creaky old bones won’t).

don’t mention the war

at last, the Iraq war is coming to the forefront of the election campaign.

why not go and sign the Libdem petition at www.libdems.org.uk. Even if you’re not a LibDem supporter, the more people who sign, the better.

not that it’ll make a blind bit of difference, I suspect :(

oh dear god

doing my bit

well, we now have a LibDem placard onnastick in the front garden.

given that we’re in Woodspring, it would take a shift of biblical proportions to unseat the fragrant Dr Liam Fox, but one must try …

laundry

I would just like to say that there is now *no* laundry in the linen basket.

it is all washed, dried (on the line) and put away, with the exception of two items that weren’t quite dry, and they are hanging in the bathroom.

this is such an extraordinary state of affairs for the Jordan household that I thought I’d share it.

oh – and the chests of drawers are bulging :)
