last Saturday, we spent six hours or so putting together a proposal for the remake of a plc’s web site, with no real expectation of anything coming of it. It was a real rush job for the guy who would be project managing a complete corporate rebrand if his team won the bid, and he was at pains to point out that it was all very speculative but, though I say so myself, we did a highly professional proposal – it had headers and footers and screenshots and everything. Today I hear that the team is down to a shortlist of two, and is to make a corporate presentation in London next Thursday, and they will need me there to do the web side of things [scream].

and today I bashed out another proposal for someone else, for YetMoreOfTheSame content management, weighing in at a bouncing £8k. And the contract for the Eye is signed and in. And the magnum opus site is still not finished, due to all sorts of political shenanigans.

I need to clone myself …

it seems that both Aaron Sorkin and Thomas Schlamme are leaving The West Wing at the end of series 4 (the one currently airing in the US – series 3 is running on Channel 4 here now).

apparently the network are going to continue it, but TWW won’t be TWW without Aaron Sorkin’s writing :(
